The newest addition to our cannabis concentrate family has finally arrived, the Sugar Wax. This cannabis concentrate is made through BHO (butane hash oil) extraction. It comes with blasting full flavor and a slightly granular texture. Unlike the other types of concentrate, these sugar wax is lesser grubby. It’s due to the fact that it’s a bit thicker and not as sticky as the rest. Yet, a lot of people who like to dab prefers this sugar wax due to its richer, more complex flavor profile.
Many types of concentrate or dabs are all very much alike. The differences are mostly superficial. In addition to that, different composition of concentrates is generally based on how the concentrate is extracted. Hence, it is also based on the consistency and texture of the end product.
Sugar waxes can develop commonly over a period of time. As the lipids in the wax begin to break down and separate from the cannabinoids, it then fabricates the wax to crystallize. Aside from that, it may also result from condensation with the other contaminants which get mixed in with the wax. At times, when this concentrate is overly agitated during production wax is then formed. Sugar wax can be the by-product of accident or intention. Since a lot of dabbers desire the flavor and texture of sugar waxes, some concentrate producers intentionally manufacture it. In some cases, what you see and get in the stores as sugar wax is of the accidental variety. This results from a mistake in manufacturing or sometimes from an aging product. The sugar wax quality depends primarily on the potency of the marijuana from which it’s made and is not based on how it’s made. Though it may be true, a fresher wax is obviously desirable.
